Iridescent Ether

£400.00

Oil on canvas

There’s something enchanting about a full moon over the seat. I am happy to live in the seaside town, and this painting was inspired by October’s full moon, called Hunter’s Moon. There is a legend that October’s Hunter’s Moon was given its name because it was at this time when tribes gathered meat for the long winter ahead. Anyway, this particular moon was especially iridescent and somehow it felt as if the moon was howling – calling to the sea spirits. Or maybe they were just moon reflections on the water, and as the moonlight itself is a reflection of the sun, then there were reflections of reflections? Oh, I don’t know…

Framing not needed, deep edge gallery canvas, edges painted.
