Cameo

When I was little I loved to play with my grandfather’s antique cameo ring. I didn’t understand its material value at that time. It would usually be on the shelf of the display cabinet together with porcelain and some other bric-a-brac. One day the ring just disappeared and no one knew where it went. Soon my grandfather died. Since then I developed an interest in cameos as somehow for me they associate with a memory of people who are gone and dearly missed.
